說甘比亞因為不齒台灣政府處理食品安全無能而宣佈斷交當然是玩笑話，甘比亞才不管馬英九把台灣食品搞成毒食品，他們就是要金錢換外交，不然人家憑什麼非要跟你台灣維持邦交不可？要與這些”友邦”維持邦交只能講究以花最少的錢達成維交的目的，以為靠中國的”諒解”就能保住這些國家因為無法與中國建交而只能繼續跟台灣維持邦交。這種自欺欺人的所謂”活路外交”就像再大的氣球也經不起小小一根針輕觸一樣，一碰就破！更慘的是，嘴巴嚷嚷絕對不再從事金錢外交，只有活路外交，私下卻照樣偷偷塞大錢，結果，錢給人，邦交沒了，人財二失，真是丟臉。

甘比亞總統賈梅驚傳罹患腦瘤 網友：死亡之握發威

西非國家甘比亞上（11）月14日突然宣布與台灣斷交，12月24日就傳出甘比亞總統賈梅((Yahya Jammeh))因為罹患腦瘤，緊急赴法國巴黎開刀，手術成功，但是情況仍十分危急。由於賈梅曾經多次來台會晤總統馬英九，網友因而認為這是馬的「死亡之握」再度發威。
根據甘比亞媒體「自由時報」(Freedom Newspaper)24日報導，賈梅在法國時間22日前往巴黎醫院進行緊急腦部腫瘤切除手術。報導稱，賈梅的手術成功，不過手術之後仍未脫離險境。報導指出，為了防止賈梅手術後無法康復或過世，賈梅已經指定他的親信Saul Badjie將軍接班。
賈梅1994年政變上台之後與台灣建交，並9度來台積極尋求金援。2008年馬英九上任之後，賈梅更是時常與馬英九在媒體面前比體力，象徵兩國關係友好。
2012年4月，馬英九訪問甘比亞，與賈梅在媒體鏡頭面前比賽伏地挺身，馬英九以一秒之差落敗，馬更在臉書上寫道：「自97年5月上任後，政府推動活路外交政策，援外以目的正當、程序合法、執行有效為原則。事實證明，當外交經費用在正途後，不但國際社會的好評增加，這近4年來，我們的23個友邦不但沒有一個斷交，反而更穩固。這次來到甘比亞，獲賈梅總統力邀，親自到他的私人農莊homestay，也會進行伏地挺身和足球PK的友誼賽，在在顯示兩國元首如兄弟般的深厚情誼。」
不過，賈梅在11月14日疑似因為索取金援不成，突然宣布與台灣斷交，成為馬英九總統任內第一個與台灣斷交的邦交國。
賈梅罹癌、狀況危急的消息一出，立即在台灣的網路論壇上引發熱論，許多網友更讚歎馬的「死亡之握」再度發威。網友Wei Lun Tseng表示：「死亡之握的魔力豈是你搞斷交就能迴避的了的」、Kira Helix表示；「快去跟菲律賓總統握手吧!」、Little Lin表示：「看來這(死亡之握)應該是史上最強的技能了」
截至目前為止，總統府與外交部未對賈梅罹患腦癌的消息發表評論。

根據路透社和法新社報導，非洲國家甘比亞14日宣布，基於「國家的戰略利益」和台灣斷交。
甘比亞總統賈梅(Yahya Jammeh)的辦公室發布聲明說，甘比亞與台灣斷交，立即生效。這個西非國家是少數承認中華民國的非洲國家之一，和台灣已建交18年。
法新社指出，這項要「審視並脫離」和台灣關係的宣布，是由賈梅總統所做出的。不過儘管發表這項聲明，但賈梅表示，甘比亞仍希望和台灣人民保持友誼。

The announcement to "review and disengage" relations was made by the president Yahya Jammeh, who said the break in diplomatic ties would come into force with immediate effect.
However despite the announcement, the president said Gambia wanted to "remain friends" with the Taiwanese people.
A statement issued by the President's office, read: "This decision has been taken in our strategic national interest.
"We are proud that we have been a very strong and reliable partner of the Republic of China for the past 18 years, the results of which are there for every Taiwanese to see.
"Despite the end of diplomatic ties with Taiwan, we will still remain friends with the people of Taiwan."
Gambia and Taiwan established diplomatic relations in July 1995.
It remained unclear ON Thursday if the severing of ties was linked to the development of relations with China, which has a growing influence in Africa, and if there was any pressure exerted on Gambia to cut ties with Taiwan.
In Gambia, Taiwan worked in the areas of rice cultivation, supplying medical equipment and road building.
Taiwan was separated in 1949 from mainland China, at the end of a civil war between communists and nationalists. Beijing refuses to recognise its sovereignty.
Initially, a majority of African states recognised the Taipei government but their number has steadily eroded.
Gambia's decision means that Swaziland, Sao Tome and Principe and Burkina Faso are the only African countries who remain allies with Taiwan.

China has been investing heavily in Africa at it relies on it for oil and other natural resources.

(Reuters) - Gambia's government will cut diplomatic ties with Taiwan with immediate effect, a statement from President Yahya Jammeh's office said on Thursday.
The small West African state was one of a few African countries, along with Burkina Faso and Swaziland, to recognise self-ruled Taiwan, which China regards as a renegade province to be recovered by force if necessary.
"This decision has been taken in our strategic national interest. We are proud that we have been a very strong and reliable partner of the ROC (China) for the past 18 years, the results of which are there for every Taiwanese to see," the statement said.
It said Gambia and Taiwan would remain friends.
Gambia is the second African state to announce a change in its diplomatic relationship with China this week.
Officials in the tiny island nation of Sao Tome and Principe said on Tuesday China plans to open a trade mission to promote projects there.
The decision comes 16 years after China broke off relations over the tiny Central African nation's diplomatic recognition of Taiwan.
Sao Tome officials did not say whether the new cooperation deal with Beijing would affect diplomatic ties with Taiwan.
Taiwan Foreign Minister David Lin told legislators in Taipei it seemed unlikely Sao Tome would switch recognition to China but added Taiwan will "review its existing assistance programmes for Sao Tome to see if any adjustment is necessary".
Sao Tome and Principe's economy is heavily dependent on cocoa exports but its position in the middle of the oil-rich Gulf of Guinea has raised interest in its potential as a possible future oil and gas producer.
China says Taiwan has no right to diplomatic recognition as it is part of China. The two have been governed separately since the Communist Party won the Chinese civil war in 1949, and the Nationalists fled across a 180-km (110-mile)-wide strait to Taiwan.

甘比亞強人領導者賈梅（Yahya Jammeh）遲遲不願下台，勝選的政治素人巴洛（Adama Barrow）19日被迫在甘比亞駐塞內加爾大使館內宣誓就職，統治正當性即刻獲國際社會承認。而「西非國家經濟共同體」（ECOWAS）組織、以塞內加爾（Senegal）為首的聯軍也在巴洛就職儀式完成後，於19日晚間進入甘比亞國內，繼續施壓賈梅下台。
據《英國廣播公司》（BBC）20日報導，ECOWAS雖已派軍進入甘比亞，但西非各國領袖已決議暫緩一切軍事行動，再給賈梅最後一次機會，他將須在20日中午前卸職。期間新一波的協商工作將持續，幾內亞（Guinea）總統孔戴（Alpha Conde）被委任於20日中午以前與賈梅進行最後協調。
塞內加爾軍方發言人恩狄亞（Col Abdou Ndiaye）19日晚間向BBC透露，聯軍正駛往首都班竹市（Banjul）。除賽內加爾與迦納組成的地面聯軍外，奈及利亞也派出國內的海、空軍支援，19日可見其偵察機（reconnaissance aircraft）駛過甘比亞上空。

恩狄亞表示，目前聯軍尚未在甘比亞境內遭遇任何反抗事件，但他警告「現在已經進入戰爭狀態（It is already war），如果我們遇到任何抵抗，就會開火（we will fight it），如有民眾試圖替前總統對抗我們，將遭受我方武力攻擊。我們的主要目標是恢復民主秩序，讓新任總統可以順利掌權。」

甘比亞軍隊負責人已表明立場，稱這場糾紛純屬「政治鬥爭」（political），「我不會讓下屬捲入這場愚蠢的鬥爭，我很愛惜他們的。」
在聯軍介入迫使賈梅下台的武力行動結束以前，巴洛預計不會返國。

西非國家甘比亞現任總統賈梅（Yahya Jammeh）在去(2016)年12月的大選落敗後，不顧國際壓力拒絕下台。西非國家數國部隊19日進入甘比亞，希望逼退選舉落敗後拒絕下台的領導人賈梅，幫助新總統順利就職。
根據法新社報導，塞內加爾，奈及利亞、迦納、多哥和馬利等非洲國家的部隊在19日進入甘比亞。甘比亞的軍事首長也加入老百姓的行列，在街頭慶祝大選過後7個星期政局終於明朗。
賈梅在去年12月的大選落敗後拒絕下台，51歲的總統當選人巴羅（Adama Barrow）19日不得不在鄰國塞內加爾首都達卡的甘比亞大使館宣誓就職。
根據路透社報導，西非地區官員表示，多國部隊進入甘比亞後不久就馬上暫停軍事行動，希望給斡旋努力最後一次機會，不過如果賈梅仍拒絕交出權力，則將會恢復軍事行動。這位官員表示，賈梅不可能獲准留在甘比亞，但如果斡旋成功，他可以選擇擇流亡國家。
1994年當時擔任陸軍中尉的賈梅發動不流血政變，1996年賈梅總統當選甘比亞第二共和首任總統，並三度連任。賈梅為作風備受爭議領導人。在內政上，賈梅極力打壓人權發展，並以酷刑對待囚犯而招來惡名。2012年8月，國際特赦組織指控甘比亞以火刑處死9名受刑人，違反人權。
1995年7月，貧困的甘比亞再度與台灣恢復邦交，與北京斷交，賈梅任內9度率內閣閣員訪台，2003年10月陳水扁總統在國宴上還開玩笑說，大家吃過的「乾扁四季豆」，其實就是甘比亞加上阿扁，簡稱「甘」扁四季豆。
馬政府執政後，馬英九總統於2012年訪問甘比亞時，與賈梅互尬伏地挺身、足球PK賽。2013年11月14日，賈梅向台灣索取鉅額金援不成，賈梅辦公室發表聲明片面宣布與台灣再度斷交。2016年3月，甘比亞與中國大陸再度建交，成為馬政府任內唯一與台灣斷交，並與北京建交的邦交國。

賈梅先飛抵鄰國幾內亞，再轉往非國際刑事法庭成員國的赤道幾內亞。西非經濟共同體（ECOWAS）聯合軍隊進入甘比亞後，終於勸服賈梅讓步，該組織與聯合國、非洲聯盟共同發表聲明，稱賈梅只是「暫時」離境，隨時可返國，當局不會採取侵害他家族「尊嚴、安全與權利」的法律行動，也不會沒入他的「合法」財產。上周四在鄰國塞內加爾宣誓就職的新總統巴洛（Adama Barrow）預料將迅速返國掌政。
